This is quite possibly the easiest recipe to make, for the most time consuming task. But it’s something that needs to be done once in a while, because dirty grout sucks!!
What you will need:
*An 8oz glass spray bottle
*1/4 cup of white vinegar
*2 teaspoons of On Guard Concentrate Cleaner (buy it here)
*10 drops of Lemon essential oil (buy it here)
*15 drops of Lime essential oil (buy it here)
*A fingernail brush (get cheap ones at the dollar store..they work much better than toothbrushes)
*A container of water to rinse your brush between tiles
*An old towel to wipe up the dirty water
*A good motivating blend in your diffuser (lime, peppermint and elevation are kickass for a task like this)
*A super wicked playlist to sing along with (early 2000’s hip hop & RnB kept me going)
Mix the vinegar and oils in the bottle and fill with hot water to the top.
Find a method that works for you. I sprayed the first row and let it sit for 2 minutes. While I was scrubbing between each tile, I would spray the next row on my left side. I just kept shifting over, basically working like a typewriter. Scrub, shift to the right, scrub, shift to the right, and so on. When I got to the end of the row, I walked back to the beginning and started the next row!

It is a time consuming process, but when you realize after 5 years that your ACTUAL grout colour is a weird dark orange instead of almost black, you get a very weird sense of accomplishment!!
